Club 10 – Tuesday 31/07/18

July 31, 2018

Only four riders tonight (probably due to the holiday season and the addition of chippings to the southbound A435). Another alternative course was used – with a quieter start on the Gorcott bridge and a finish after two laps just past the Cross and Bowling Green junction. It wasn’t a quick night due to the south westerly breeze making the leg to Gorcott tougher than usual. Paul Astin was quickest on the night with his 22.05.

1 P.Astin 22.05
2 D.Sheridan 25.09
3 C.Lowe 25.59
4 P.Heraper 27.10

Club 10 – Tuesday 24/07/18

July 24, 2018

A return to the K36/10 due to surface dressing of the A435 meant a smaller field than of late with just seven riders facing the time-keeper. A moderate headwind on the harder first leg to Bransons Cross and on Cut Throat Lane meant times were generally pegged back by a considerable amount. Tim Ashton ignored the conditions and stormed round in 21.33, leading by nearly a minute over his nearest rival, Paul Astin (22.29).

Club 10 – Tuesday 17/07/18

July 17, 2018

Tonight was a cooler evening than of late with a blustery westerly breeze (a change from the recent north-easterlies). It was the first outing on the variant of the K37/10P missing out the Cross and Bowling Green roundabout leg but travelling twice up the rough section to the Portway turn. Paul Astin was back on form with a winning 21.24.

No Club 10 This Week

July 2, 2018

Unfortunately, due to roadworks around the Bransons Cross island for the next 5 nights, both courses are out of action until next week.

They are re-surfacing part of the road down to Beoley, but are using the area around the island for storing the vehicles and they have coned off lanes.

We’ll be able to plan for next Tuesday by next weekend when we can be sure how the work has progressed.

So it’s either a ride or watching England tomorrow.
